To protect one of the country’s critically endangered species, Dr. Nikki Heherson A. Dagamac, a Balik Scientist and biology expert, has embarked on a mission to assess and monitor the elusive Tamaraw (Bubalus mindorensis) in its natural habitat in Mindoro.


Toward enhancing the governance of the Seven Lakes in San Pablo City, Laguna, the University of the Philippines Los Baños-College of Public Affairs and Development (UPLB-CPAf), through its Center for Strategic Planning and Policy Studies (CSPPS), organized a comprehensive two-day training workshop on January 31–February 1, 2024 at the DIP Lab Learning Facility, CPAf, UPLB.

In a pivotal policy forum, the University of the Philippines Los Baños-School of Environmental Science and Management (UPLB-SESAM) led the discussions aimed at fostering the adoption of a science and technology (S&T)-based model for lake-based ecotourism management in Laguna de Bay. It was held on February 16, 2024 at the Acacia Hotel in Muntinlupa City.
