Agricom Best Foods unveiled its Food Processing Facility in San Mariano, Isabela on January 26, 2024.
The company is one of the first batch recipients of the Startup Grant Fund (SGF) program of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD).
It features the chevon processing technology, which is a product of a long series of research and development (R&D) of the Isabela State University (ISU) with DOST-PCAARRD support.
Its newly inaugurated Food Processing Facility is one of the outcomes of the SGF project, “Establishment of Food Processing Facility for Sustainable Commercialization Chevon-based Technologies.”

The inauguration ceremony convened officials of DOST-PCAARRD, Agricom Best Foods, ISU, DOST Region 2, and the local government of Isabela. DOST-PCAARRD Executive Director Reynaldo V. Ebora, through DOST-PCAARRD Technology Transfer and Promotion Division (TTPD) Director Noel A. Catibog, expressed his support to the startup company and its project with the Council. Likewise, ISU President Ricmar P. Aquino; San Mariano, Isabela City Mayor Edgar T. Go, represented by SB Marivic Sumisim; and Agricom Best Foods President Samuel B. Cariño and Vice President Eugene T. Gabriel delivered their messages to the attendees.
Today, the facility houses chevlamb ‘kilawin,’ ‘adobo,’ and other goat meat products. The team envisions more food innovations for the residents of Isabela through the Agricom Best Foods Corporation.
