In a joint effort to enhance the capacity and sustainable production of calamansi farmers in Nueva Ecija, the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) collaborated with the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) to conduct a two-day training on standard and sustainable cultural management practices. The training was held from January 31 to February 1, 2024, in Brgy. Cabu, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

In a significant step towards supporting the smallholder vegetable farmers in selected municipalities of Laguna, the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) and Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere (CARE) Philippines join hands through a collaborative project, “aGAP (Asenso sa Good Agriculture Package) Social Enterprise Project.”

To enhance the landscape of agricultural research and development (R&D) in the Philippines, the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) introduced the Industry Strategic Science and Technology Program Information System (ISP-IS), an online platform management tool and information hub for agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources (AANR) research and development.

A delegation from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) visited the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) to bolster educational and research collaborations, on February 19, 2024. The meeting was attended by key officials and representatives from both institutions to strengthen existing ties, explore new avenues of cooperation, and enhance AIT’s visibility within the Philippines.
