Enhanced Philippine Coconut Suitability Maps

The enhanced suitability map is an output of a DOST-PCAARRD-funded project implemented by the Philippine Coconut Authority - Research and Development Branch. It incorporates more detailed environmental and socio-economic factors and an expanded area, covering the provincial and barangay levels.

The results of this study showed that a combined total of 19.9 million hectares of the country’s total land area are suitable for coconut planting.
