In a dynamic exchange of ideas and collaboration, the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) embarked on a courtesy visit to the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) on February 26, 2024.
Three new hoya varieties—Hoya ilagiorum 'Moonlight,' H. ilagiorum 'Sunkissed,' and H. ilagiorum 'Starburst'—have been officially registered to the National Seed Industry Council (NSIC).

Aiming to satisfy the dietary needs of growing glass eels, a floating eel feed was optimally developed by the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV).
The Algal Diversity and Bioresources (ADB) laboratory team led by Dr. Garry A. Benico of the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) organized a training on the identification of fish-killing small dinoflagellates that belong to Family Kareniaceae.
