“Sips and bites” will be at the 11th Philippine Food Expo at The World Trade Center in Pasay City on February 23─26.
Sips and bites, the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development’s (PCAARRD) theme concept for the promotion of coffee and coco sugar products, was launched on November 10, 2011 in the Council’s Technology to the People (T2P) media conference.
T2P is a media strategy of PCAARRD in promoting its science and technology (S&T) advocacies.
And in line with the expo’s theme “From Farm to Fork: The Best Philippine Food Products to the World”, the Council will also showcase, banana chips, frozen durian, and pili oil in its exhibit. Incidentally, these products, along with coffee and coco sugar, are supported by the Council’s TechnoMart project.
TechnoMart bridges research and development results from the lab to the market.
A coffee shop ambiance is envisioned in PCAARRD’s booth with coffee machines and equipment provided by EQuilibrium Intertrade Corporation. Also assisting the Council in manning its booth is the Philippine Barista and Coffee Academy (PBCA).
PBCA will present a barista show and treat guests to different coffee mixes. Free samples of the featured S&T-based products will also be given to the guests and participants.
