PCAARRD will participate in the 2013 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) with its program, “Matalinong Juan, Aasenso sa Agrikultura at Pangisdaan”, on July 26 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
The Council’s event is a series of technology business forums specific to the agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources sectors. Program starts
at 1pm.
Fourteen experts from state universities and colleges, government offices, and the private sector will conduct the forums.
Technology clinics follow right after each presentation where attendees can consult the experts/entrepreneurs personally. Trivia teasers will be posted at the venue for people to read and learn from. Some products will also be displayed. In between sessions, “agri-aqua” gifts will also be raffled.
Opening the program is PCAARRD Executive Director Patricio S. Faylon with Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Mario G. Montejo delivering a message. The Council’s Deputy Director for R&D Cesario R. Pagdilao will close the event.
DOST celebrates the NSTW to showcase the latest innovations, interventions, inventions, and various works of Filipino scientists and by the entire scientific community. This year, the event focuses on the pressing needs of various sectors like agriculture, transportation, industry, services, and climate change.
Dubbed as ExpoScience 2013, it bears the theme, “Science, Technology and Innovation: The Road to a Smarter Philippines”. Activities for the expo will run on July 23―27 at the SMX Convention Center.
