"The Farms and Industry Encounters through the Science and Technology Agenda (FIESTA) for goat is intended for goat farmers and investors to provide them access to developed technologies," said Dr. Edwin C. Villar, Deputy Executive Director for Research and Development of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD).
The message was delivered during the Central Luzon Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development Consortium (CLAARRDEC) FIESTA in Baler, Aurora.
Held on April 25-26, 2019 at the Baler Provincial Capitol Compound, CLAARRDEC FIESTA showcases R&D gains in the goat industry following the success of the first Goat FIESTA in Bataan.
Dr. Villar also commended Central Luzon State University (CLSU) for its research and development initiatives on goat. He mentioned several issues in goat production that can be addressed by the latest technologies featured in the event.
The two-day Goat FIESTA was held simultaneously with the 2nd Meat Festival of Baler.
