The “Directory of Scholars (2007-2013): DOST-SEI Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP)” is now available.
This publication aims to provide the agriculture and aquatic sectors access to a pool of experts who can help address the gaps/priorities in the country’s research and development agenda. It also aims to help sustain PCAARRD’s network of scholars around the globe and envisions to catalyze cooperative endeavors between and among the industry stakeholders.
The directory is the first of two editions. The current edition includes a profile of 252 graduated and ongoing scholars (full MS and PhD scholars including partial scholars who availed of the ASTHRDP thesis/ dissertation grants) administered by PCAARRD from 2007 to 2013.
The second edition, to be released in late 2014, will present the profile of PCAARRD-administered ASTHRDP scholars in the aquatic sector from 2007 to date.
The first edition is divided into three parts. The first part presents the profile of graduated and ongoing scholars with their names, agency affiliation, permanent home address, e-mail address/es, degree completed/year, university graduated from, and thesis title.
The second part presents the graphic and tabular distribution of scholars by field of specialization, university, agency affiliation, and regional distribution. For easy retrieval, the last part presents the list of scholars by degree, arranged in alphabetical order of the scholars’ last names.
Scholars featured in the directory and their sending institutions will be sent their copies. Non-scholars who wish to have a copy may write the PCAARRD Executive Director Patricio S. Faylon, PCAARRD, Los Baños, Laguna.
