Los Baños, Laguna — The search is on for the next Pantas and Tanglaw awardees. The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) is ready to accept nominations starting October 2016.
The Pantas award seeks for outstanding scientists/researchers and research administrators, while the Tanglaw looks for laudable research institutions.
Cash prizes, research grants (for outstanding researcher/scientist and institution) and trophies await the winners.
Scientists/researchers, research administrators and institutions that have made exemplary contributions for the advancement of agriculture, aquatic and natural resources in the Philippines are enjoined to submit their entries.
Interested parties should submit seven (7) copies of the duly endorsed Pantas/Tanglaw Awards nomination forms with justification, comprehensive biodata, and other supporting documents to the Office of the Executive Director, PCAARRD, Los Baños, Laguna not later than December 31, 2016. Nomination forms are available at the office of PCAARRD and can also be downloaded from www.pcaarrd.dost.gov.ph.
This year’s winners will be joining the roster of great achievers in research and development including 2015 Tanglaw Awardee Isabela State University (ISU), and 2015 Pantas Awardees: Dr. Rhodora V. Azanza of the University of the Philippines-Marine Science Institute (UP-MSI) (scientist/researcher category) and Dr. Othello B. Capuno of Visayas State University (VSU) (research administrator category).
