Officials and staff of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) took time out during the Council’s team building on April 28-29 at the Chateau Royale Sports and Country Club in Nasugbu, Batangas.
With four competing teams (Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue), the participants brought new meaning to S&T as they displayed sportsmanship and talents during a draining contest on obstacle course and singing later on in the night of the first day of the activity. The Green Team emerged as winner in the obstacle course with a total time of 2.6 minutes, followed by the Yellow Team at 4.13 minutes, Red Team at 4.5 minutes, and the Blue Team at 6.37 minutes. The dinner party provided the venue for bonding and laughter as humorous awards such as Miss and Mr. Alaska; Kalma Moreno and Grace Poe award; Walang Kiyeme or Anti- Pabebe award; Buwis Buhay award, Biz Mode award, and Best Performers award (the only serious award it seems) were given to some staff and officials. Simple as it may seemed, the event has ingrained the value of hard work and cooperation towards pursuing efficiency and effectiveness in the workplace.
