Employees of the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) joined an earthquake drill on April 21 at the Council’s complex. The drill aimed to simulate what would happen should an earthquake strike. It was part of the Council’s proactive steps in minimizing risks to prevent casualties in case of earthquake and related disasters pursuant to Republic Act 10121 (An Act Strengthening the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management System). The drill was organized by the Municipal Disaster and Risk Reduction Management (MDRRM) of Los Baños, Laguna, in cooperation with the Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, Philippine Army and Kabalikat Civicom.
