Led by Acting Executive Director, Dr. Reynaldo V. Ebora, employees of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) momentarily set aside office works and teamed up in a Clean up Day on Friday, April 10, 2015.
The initiative came about as cleanliness in the office premises proved to be one of the most important issues and concerns cited by DOST-PCAARRD staff during the survey conducted in March. It is also part of Dr. Ebora’s 100-day transition period, where he hopes to accomplish a number of things in terms of charting the direction of the Council and securing the welfare of the staff, particularly in attaining a safe and conducive working environment.
During the Clean-Up Day, male employees were assigned to different areas of the office grounds while female employees took charge of the cleaning of their respective division.
According to Dr. Ebora, another Clean-Up Day will be scheduled to thoroughly clean the premises of DOST-PCAARRD.
