Los Baños, Laguna — The search is on for the next Pantas and Tanglaw awardees.
Nominations for the said awards can be forwarded to the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD).
The Pantas recognizes outstanding scientists/ researchers and research administrators, while the Tanglaw looks for exceptional research institutions.
Scientists/researchers, research administrators and institutions that have made exemplary contributions for the advancement of agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources sectors are welcome to submit their entries.
Cash prizes, research grants, and trophies await the winners.
This year’s winners will be joining the roster of great achievers in research and development including 2010 Tanglaw Awardee Philippine Rootcrops Research and Training Center, and 2010 Pantas Awardees: Dr. Roberto Guarte, Visayas State University’s (VSU) vice president for administration and finance (scientist/researcher category) and Dr. Jose L. Bacusmo, VSU President (research administrator category).
Interested parties must submit six copies of the duly endorsed Pantas/Tanglaw nomination forms with justification, comprehensive biodata, and other supporting documents to the Office of the Executive Director, PCAARRD, Los Baños, Laguna not later than January 31, 2013.
Nomination forms are available at the PCAARRD office in Los Baños, Laguna and can also be downloaded from www.pcaarrd.dost.gov.ph.
