New TG bulletins in progress

After the release of Techno Gabay (TG) bulletins on peanut, organic rice, mango, and bamboo in 2012, preparations are underway for another set of bulletins.

Draft manuscripts done by commodity specialists and applied communication experts from the Council’s network are currently being refined and reviewed.

The drafts are outputs from a recently concluded TG Bulletin Publication Writeshop held at the Council’s Headquarters.

Participating in the writeshop were specialists and experts from the Mariano Marcos State University, Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Tarlac College of Agriculture (TCA), and Cavite State University.

The activity is part of the technology transfer initiative titled “Farms, interventions, and triumph: Delivering on sustained commitments to the agriculture, aquatic and natural resources sectors through S&T-Based Farms (STBF)”.

The project aims to develop primers that will showcase outputs of completed STBF projects and highlight the results of introduced science and technology interventions on the productivity and profitability of the Magsasaka Siyentista.

For 2013, the TG bulletins will feature successful STBF projects on organic-based tomato, ampalaya, sweet potato, banana (saba), carabao, and goat.
